In 1988, I moved to Lakeview from Chicago, Illinois where I was born, raised and enjoyed all aspects of city life. I’d graduated from University of Illinois/Champaign, and had many years experience in all areas of marketing with major companies.

After moving to the Ozarks and finding no jobs to fit my qualifications in a smaller area, I entered the real estate profession. Since then, I have served on the local Board of Realtors Board of Directors and on most of the Realtor’s Committees. I was a million or multi-million dollar producer for over 16 years, served 4 years on the Lakeview City Council and was an active volunteer in the Ozark Region Tourism organization (served as President and on the Board), the Bull Shoals Lake/White River Chamber, the Mountain Home Chamber, and the Business and Professional Women’s organization.

In my spare time, some of my favorite activities include: yoga, resistance training, walking, hiking, swimming, reading, writing, and playing bridge. I also enjoy taking my vintage 1967 Checker Marathon cab out for a spin when the weather is fine.

I served for 10 years on the Board of the Friends of the Bull Shoals Library, 5 of those years as President. Through affiliation with the Library, I started “The First Thursday” book club in 1999. I also wrote a weekly column for the local newspaper, “Ozark People”, which was later published in part as a book.

In 2007, I founded a hiking group…W.H.O. (Women Hiking the Ozarks), which has grown to over 80 active members. The group has been featured in the local newspaper, TV station and radio.

I retired as a sales agent in 2012, but remain with Beaman Realty in a part-time administrative, marketing and sales support capacity. People tell me they appreciate my honest, straightforward approach, reliability, and knowledge of the area. I feel privileged to work at a small, family-oriented company vs. a larger agency. We’ve been here since 1968, longer than any other area agency, and I expect we’ll continue to serve area clients and customers for many years to come.
